16th ITER International School announced in India: "Tokamaks as Fusion Reactors"
The 16th ITER International School will be held at India's Institute for Plasma Research from 25 November to 6 December 2024, focusing on the physics and engineering of tokamaks as fusion reactors for early-career researchers.
The ITER Organization has announced the 16th ITER International School (IIS 2024), scheduled for 25 November to 6 December 2024. The event will be hosted by the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) in Gandhinagar, India, in collaboration with the Homi Bhabha National Institute. The school's theme, "Tokamaks as Fusion Reactors," signals a focus on the transition from experimental plasma physics to the integrated engineering required for power-producing devices.
