Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) announced it has raised an additional $1 billion in private capital. This new funding round is designated for the development of its first commercial-scale fusion power plant, known as ARC. The company is concurrently constructing its SPARC demonstration device, which is designed to prove net energy gain from a compact, high-field tokamak.
